Behavior-Driven Controlled-Environment Agriculture (BD-CEA) is Life Cycle Horticulture’s approach to growing environments that respond to plant behavior, not just fixed climate targets. Instead of treating plants as passive recipients of light, water, nutrients, and air, BD-CEA asks what the plant is interpreting from its environment and how that interpretation appears through growth, stress, recovery, rhythm, and state change.
By combining plant behavior research, PRISM, and controlled-environment agriculture, BD-CEA supports a more responsive way of growing: one where environmental decisions are guided by plant state, readiness, and living feedback.
